Individual Counseling

If any of the below sounds familiar, please reach out to schedule a session:

  • Struggle to make decisions

  • Spin and spin on worst case scenarios

  • Not enjoying life as much

  • Just can’t deal with another thing on your plate

  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed

  • Know what you “should” do, but aren’t doing it

  • Don’t feel worthy or enough

  • Communication with others isn’t working

  • Parenting is harder than you thought

  • Kids won’t listen to you

  • Can’t set boundaries with others

  • Lack confidence

  • Stressed most of the time

I focus on building coping, self-care and communication skills, as well as teaching healthy boundaries.  I use a straight-forward, compassionate approach and want my clients to feel empowered, resilient and capable. No matter the circumstance, I'm here to provide wisdom, empathy and encouragement. I'll help you take small action steps that will build resilience for the hurdles along the way.  I will look at the whole picture so that you will feel revitalized and at peace with who you are.  I will teach how thinking about circumstances can influence feelings and behavior, how to rewire negative habitual thinking patterns into positive, useful ones. I can address common obstacles to brain health, such as sleep, diet and movement, to build or restore your foundation.

To encourage change, resiliency and self-efficacy, I utilize Biblical principals, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Love and Logic parenting model, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion.

We will challenge messages that confuse our natural ways of eating. You’ll learn how your brain and body work to influence food choice and habits. You will see how showing your body some love will foster change.  I will look at the whole picture so that you will become a Nourished, Natural and Empowered eater (and human). Now is the time to end self-criticism, build body confidence, and have shame-free living and eating! God has a purpose for your life, and He created us for more than this struggle. Let’s invite him into this transformation. There is power in knowing how our Grand Designer made our body and using His design to help us heal.

To start a journey of Nourishing yourself in new ways, I will use Eating Psychology, neuroscience, nutrition, and Biblical principles, plus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Self-Compassion, Embodiment practices, and Mindfulness.

You were made for more than this struggle! Let’s Do This!

Group Counseling

The group setting provides its own magic in healing. You can make connections with other having the same concerns, have a safe space to share your story, hear multiple viewpoints and receive/give respectful feedback. There is something about a shared anguish that brings healing.

Topics can include making and sticking to new habits for health, why diets don’t work, how to make peace with your body and many more!
